Respect-Ms. Universe 2012

strenuously managed to watch the Miss Universe Pageant last December 20, 2012. I love the theme of the Pageant this year because it was all about Christmas and more spectacular because it was held in “Fabulous Las Vegas”. All I wanted was to witness not just the beautiful ladies with their stunning physique but also to feel Filipino pride with our dear Janine Mari Tugonon who competed well to bring home the Diamond Nexus Crown. She was qualified to the Top ten together with other ladies. All of the girls show off their superb body as they wear their swimsuit attire which makes me observe on Janine Tugonon as she do her Cobra Walk that out shore the other girls made her an early favorite in the competition and have been one of the Top five finalists particularly: Ms. Venezuela, Ms. USA, Ms. Brazil, Ms. Australia and Ms. Philippines.

t was now the most awaited part of the pageant the Question and Answer portion which 
challenges the intelligence of the ladies. It was so lucky that Ms. Philippines pick the Twitter question and it was Mr. Nigel Barker- former America’s Next Top Model Photoshoot Director/ Judge asked the question to her. She left a remarkable answer to a question that stirred up the consciousness of most people watching the event. And the question goes this way "As an international ambassador, do you think that speaking English should be a prerequisite for Miss Universe? Why or why not?"  In her response, Janine said with full of confidence “For me being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language, it's about being able to influence and inspire other people. So whatever language you have as long as your heart is deserving and you have a strong mind to show to people, then you can be Miss Universe."

ith a couple of hours, the decision has been made by the judges. It was now the time to announce who will take the crown and become Ms Universe 2012.  Ms. Brazil-Gabriela Markus became the 4th runner up, 3rd runner up of the said pageant is Ms. Australia-Renae Ayris, Ms. Venezuela- Irene Sofia Esser Quintero. Ms. USA- Olivia Culpo Crowned as Ms. Universe 2012 and our dear Ms. Philippines-Janine Tugonon declared as 1st runner up. 

A

 lot of reaction has been made. Majority of the crowd are not satisfy with the result not just we, Filipinos but also with the other nationality who believe that Ms. Philippines should be the Ms. Universe2012 instead of Ms. USA. But the decision has been made, we should Respect the Judges. As I've heard from the people around me "RESPECT THE HOMETOWN DECISION"
